This innovative concept developed here at Monart was designed to bring together on the one day at the one venue the finest selection of Ireland's 3 to 6 year old event horses selected by our internationally recognised panel and sold by auction at a Gala dinner at the world renowned and award winning Monart Destination Spa.
The team behind the scenes
Introducing the team that organises The Monart Sale:
Niall Griffin (IRL)
Niall has represented Ireland at two European Championships, a World Equestrian Games and the last two Olympic Games.
Polly Jackson (GBR)
Polly has represented Great Britain at the European Championships and
has been placed in numerous four stars worldwide.
Liam Griffin (IRL)
Liam Griffin is one of Irelands leading Business figures with numerous business accolades to his name, and is one of Irelands great sporting names.
Selection Panel
The horses are selected by our Internationally recognised panel of four star event riders consisting of:
Clayton Fredericks (AUS)
Clayton is currently one of the top
Event riders in the world with numerous titles to his name including Olympic and World Silver medals.
Polly Jackson (GBR)
Polly has represented Great Britain at the European Championships and
has been placed in numerous four stars worldwide.
Sue Shortt (IRL)
Sue is one of Irelands most
respected Event riders. Once described by Mark Todd as "the greatest cross country rider in the world".
Vetting
All horses will be fully vetted with X-Rays by a panel of vets headed by Marcus Swail who is Irelands team vet for both Showjumping and Eventing at all major championships.
Marcus Swail (IRL)
Marcus is highly respected worldwide for his expertise in the sport horse industry and as such gives any foreign buyer confidence in their perspective purchase.
